Torimen is a chic new yakitori and ramen restaurant located in the SOHO area of Central Hong Kong. The focus is on ramen during lunch, while yakitori is the star during dinner service.

The owners enlisted design firm BLOW to create a new Japanese identity that could stand out in the SOHO area. Inspired by the symbolic forms of yakitori and ramen, and the letters T and M, designer Ken Lo devised a modern and unique logo for Torimen as well as in-store collateral, menus, uniforms, signage and promotional materials. Lo was especially proud of the “functional” toilet signs he convinced the client to include. “I noticed there were three washrooms, on my first site visit” he said, “so I was inspired create one female sign, one male sign and one combined sign drawing from the yakitori concept of the logo.”
