“I wanted the work to have an old-fashioned feel about it and also have the hallmarks of a modern design. Two Swiss fonts were implemented throughout the design to achieve this. The design was intended to work as a newspaper, because of the large amount of facts and information displayed. At first the design was to be only typographic, but graphics were added in the final stages.”

Precious Rose. “In this artwork, the fragility of the lives of women worldwide is bought to life with use of a familiar symbol of nature and beauty—the rose. This heralded flower acts as a metaphor for women lives, and how precarious they can be. If this rose does not get the right elements for survival, including food, sun, water and nutrients for growth, it, like mistreated and deprived females, will die.”
