To celebrate their 125-year legacy of wonder and exploration, National Geographic created a branded anniversary website where explorers and adventurers of all ages can discover photos, timelines, and stories from yesterday and today. This unified hub, which streamlines 125 content initiatives into one space, launched in January and will continue to grow and evolve throughout the year.

Currently the site has more than 100 images, 16 videos, and 15 special exploration-themed features. Multiple interactive exploration timelines allow users to learn more about deep sea exploration, space exploration, National Geographic history and women explorers. The site also promotes and links to NG’s social media channels, including regularly scheduled Google+ hangouts gathering together multiple National Geographic explorers on different continents. Visitors are also encouraged to “Frame What Matters” and take pictures with Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #framewhatmatters.
