Venables Bell & Partners’ new website celebrates the agency’s work, people, news and culture. It’s designed to be a living organism—complete with an ever-changing real-time feed announcing everything the agency creates from the moment it launches.

The adaptive interface thrives on HTML5 and CSS, which translates easily from desktop to tablet to smart phone. The goal is to provide visitors with a user experience that is fun to play with and simple to navigate, no matter where they (or their moms) view the site.

VB&P built the site in-house, from UX to technical architecture, with help on front-end development from L.A.-based Active Theory. The custom-created JavaScript animation library powers the visual layout and tags make digging through years of work a snap (and even conceals a few “easter eggs”).
