“As Graeter’s ice cream, a beloved Cincinnati icon, continues to be carried by more and more grocery chains nationally, the brand is determined to assert its authenticity in an increasingly crowded and often inauthentic space,” said art director John Pattison. “To do this, we chose to feature the people who are actually doing the authentic hand-crafting. The ones who are continuing Graeter’s nearly century-and-a-half old tradition of crafting ice cream by hand, in 2-gallon French Pots, one batch at a time. The campaign is being rolled out as point-of-purchase posters for grocery store chains. Construction of a newly branded Web site is also underway, which will include videos of the artisans featured in the print work.”
