Mapping Subjectivity film series screens rarely exhibited works of master and emerging filmmakers from the Arab world
Third Edition features 10 North American premieres, three U.S. premieres, and four New York premieres
The Museum of Modern Art presents Mapping Subjectivity: Experimentation in Arab Cinema from the 1960s to Now, Part III, November 1 through 25 in the Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters. As in the preceding editions, Mapping Subjectivity looks into the region’s largely unknown heritage of auteur, personal, and sometimes experimental film, highlighting kinships in sensibilities, approaches, and poetics across generations and countries.
