New York-based Mucca Design recently joined forces with comedy idol Steve Martin to design The Ten, Make That Nine, Habits of Very Organized People. Make That Ten. Imagining what Steve Martin’s cocktail napkins might look like after a string of boring acceptance speeches at the Oscars, Mucca teamed with illustrator Serge Bloch (whose work has appeared in the New Yorker and the Washington Post) to create the interior illustrations. Typeset in Infidelity, one of design studio’s proprietary typefaces, the book combines tweets by topic rather than in chronological order. The format allowed Grand Central Publishing to include the back-and-forth banter between Martin and his audience, giving followers of his witticisms and punchlines an experience they can’t find online.
