CLINTON HILL — In 1991, trailblazing Brooklyn entrepreneur Lurita “L.B.” Brown, after working for Black Enterprise Magazine and Ebony Magazine, opened the city’s first art and custom-framing business totally owned and operated by an African-American woman.
