BBDO New York recently launched a comprehensive campaign for HBO GO—a new online video destination that gives HBO subscribers unlimited access to premium content. HBO Go allows iPad and iPhone users, and other broadband-connected platforms, to watch every episode of every season of the best shows from HBO plus hundreds of Hollywood hit movies—at any time and from any US location. To help promote this service, they created a series of TV spots (shown “Tuxedo”) that celebrate the uniqueness of the network’s programming by focusing on how life can sometimes be boring, annoying, repetitive and, altogether, just not very awesome. Since HBO is none of those things, HBO GO makes it possible to escape life and spend some time with a much better one.
