“This anniversary is bitter sweet,” says Alex Smith, executive chairman of the Thelma Hill Performing Arts Center, about their upcoming 35th anniversary season.
“In order to get to this point, the organization has been advancing through death. First Larry Phillips, the founder, then Melvin Davis, who took over from Phillips. He first hired me as a young graphic designer.”
