On Tuesday, June 21, the official start to summer was marked in DUMBO with a new public mural on Front Street, a joint commission of the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and the Dumbo Improvement District.

The design is an abstracted interpretation of intersecting train tracks and the familiar New York City subway map, and also references the cross-sections of cultures and people who view it.

Called “Intersection,” the mural was created by Brooklyn artists Heidy Garay,
