This poster campaign by Santa Monica-based Rubin Postaer and Associates is as artful and interesting as the films shown at the yearly festival. The concept for the print art came from the 24 letters of the Newport Beach Film Festival’s name set it in simple type. An international search was launched to find accomplished artists in a variety of genres; fourteen varied talents from all over the world were granted free reign to do as they wished. The interesting, eclectic group created unique interpretations of the letters, covering every aspect of the festival which screened 350 films from 45 countries.
