One of creative director Mark Hamilton’s fondest memories from art school was carrying around a drawing board. It’s that memory that shaped the concept when the Creative Services & Marketing department at The College of Saint Rose was tasked with creating a brochure for its Center for Art & Design. The goal of the project was to elevate the Saint Rose art program from one of regional renown to one of national renown as it faces fierce competition from art colleges. The drawing board became the basis of the design of a unique one-of-a-kind art book with pages mounted to a die-cut board, using screw posts and a foil-stamped back side.
