For over 40 years Kencraft Candy has been a supplier of wholesale candy. To stay competitive in the specialty gift store lollipop market, the company needed to move into the next decade; it partnered with Minneapolis design agency HartungKemp. The project began with Kencraft’s high-volume Valentine’s Day offerings. Rather than simply design a new series of suckers for the client to decorate, HartungKemp transformed the usual confections into new retail concepts that made the lollipops the gift, rather than just add-on afterthoughts —LolliLetters (card and candy in one) and LolliKits (everything shoppers need to personalize the candy).
