Banksy: Crude Oils – “Silent Night”
Banksy‘s Crude Oils exhibition was based on the idea of taking established masterpieces are remixing them to change their meaning in a way the original artist didn’t intend. For example, placing CCTV cameras in the foreground of a landscape piece, or traffic cones in lake scene. Andy Warhol’s silk screened Marilyn, his soup can and Van Gogh’s sunflowers were other targets for Banksy’s exhibition.
Sharing the gallery with us were 100s of rats, running around exploring or just sleeping on other exhibits.
