Choreographer Jennifer Monson, who lives in Brooklyn and is on the faculty of the University of Illinois, has developed choreography within the context of environmental studies for the past decade, focusing on “environmental sustainability as it relates to art and the urban context.”

Monson’s projects have followed the migrations of birds and she has studied local phenomena such as the abandoned Ridgewood Reservoir in Brooklyn and the Mahomet Aquifer in Illinois. Her current project, SIP/Watershed (Sustained Immersive Process), Art Headlines
