NYC: Houston Street and Bowery Mural
A recreation of Keith Haring’s celebrated Houston Street and Bowery mural was on display in its original location from March 4 to December 21, 2008. The project, executed by Gotham Scenic and presented courtesy of Goldman Properties, the Keith Haring Foundation, and Deitch Projects, opened to commemorate what would have been Haring’s 50th birthday. The original became an instant landmark after Keith painted it, with the help of his partner Juan Dubose, even though it was up for only a few in the summer of 1982.
