This eye-opening piece made of wood and dolls — called “Future Generation” — is part of the Encounters sculpture exhibit on Governors Island. The work is part of artist Betty McGeehan’s “Present/Future?” series, in which she addresses the energy crisis, over consumption, immigration and other issues that affect our future. Encounters will run all summer throughout Governors Island.
